SFS Infill
The most common application of SFS is for infill walling, where the system is constructed from floor to soffit within the primary structural frame (RC Frame/Structural Steel) to ‘infill’ external wall elevations. This option is often the most economical and allows installation inside the building before scaffolding or mast climbers are in place. This fast-track approach helps achieve early watertightness and enables internal fit-out work to commence sooner.
SFS Structure
Load-bearing SFS structures utilise studs and joists, with studs forming vertical columns, walls, and joists providing floor and roof construction. Typically, these structures are ‘stick-built’ on-site, offering maximum flexibility to meet specific client and project requirements. This adaptability makes SFS structures suitable for applications such as penthouses or bespoke sales and marketing buildings.
