Firestopping

Torc Contracts delivers fully compliant fire-stopping installations as an integrated part of our drylining and internal fit-out packages. All works are carried out using third-party UKAS–accredited systems certified through IFC, ensuring materials, installation methods, and documentation meet recognised UK standards.

Our fire-stopping operations cover the treatment of service penetrations, linear gaps, cavity barriers, fire-resisting walls and ceilings, structural interfaces, and perimeter sealing requirements. Each installation is completed in accordance with the manufacturer’s tested details and the fire strategy for the building, with clear documentation to support Building Control approval.

By managing fire-stopping in-house, we remove the need for additional subcontractors and reduce the risk of sequencing issues, missed penetrations, or conflicting responsibilities. This simplifies coordination for the main contractor and allows our team to control programme alignment, access requirements, and quality assurance from start to finish.

Torc maintains full traceability for every installation, including photographic evidence, system references, and locator details for O&M and as-built records. All works comply with the requirements of Approved Document B, BS 476, and relevant BS/EN fire protection standards.

This integrated approach ensures the building’s compartmentation performance is maintained, supporting both regulatory compliance and long-term life-safety protection for occupants.
