Fire Stopping Assessment & Compliance Works
Torc was appointed to support the safety upgrade of a multi-storey residential apartment building in Northwest London. The project required a detailed review of all existing fire-stopping installations, followed by a comprehensive remedial programme to bring the building in line with current fire strategy requirements and manufacturer standards.
Torc’s Contribution
Torc delivered a complete fire-stopping package, combining technical assessment, precise installation, and complete documentation to support compliance. Working within an occupied residential environment, the focus was on accuracy, minimal disruption, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
Fire-Stopping Assessment
Our specialists carried out a systematic survey of existing fire-stopping across floors, risers, service penetrations, and compartment lines. This included identifying defects, incomplete work, material failures, and areas requiring upgraded protection.
Rectification & Installation
Following the assessment, Torc delivered all necessary remedial works to reinstate compartmentation. This included:
- Removal of unsuitable or non-compliant materials
- Installation of new fire-stopping to manufacturers’ standards
- Ensuring all installations are aligned with the building’s fire strategy and current regulations
Approved Products – Quelfire
All rectification works were completed using approved Quelfire systems, selected for their performance, compatibility, and certification. Products were installed under strict quality controls to ensure long-term reliability and full traceability.
Torc’s role ensured the building achieved the required level of fire integrity, supporting resident safety and delivering apparent, auditable compliance.
